What is .NET and why is .NET important?

Microsoft .NET is the most technically superior development environment in existence today. The Microsoft .NET Framework provides basic connectivity for Web services and Microsoft Windows-based applications and enable people, information, systems, and devices to connect and exchange information seamlessly through the use of Web services

Microsoft.NET is the most current generation of Microsoft technology for improving performance, integration and security. Improved interfacing with all types of web applications makes it easy a .NET application to speak to all types of systems. .NET is 100% managed code giving us the following:

Most other software packages are not .NET. Of the software packages that claim .NET, many were developed by adding a .NET enhancement (“patch”) to the existing software that wasn’t .NET, meaning they added patch after patch after patch.

When choosing to develop in .NET, NUJIT uses C#.Net, a slightly more elegant and advanced language then Visual Basic.NET allowing for better organizations of classes.
